Headed West has been working closely with the organizations that have been involved in the legal battle against the DEA regarding the recent announcement of the emergency ban they intended to place on the herb. At this time our counsel has encouraged us to continue to sell the product line until an actual date has been issued for the scheduling of kratom as a Controlled Substance, or until a reversal date is declared.
At this time, we are planning on continuing to try and stock the product lines that we have offered over the years and will continue to try and keep our pricing fair. Please understand that there are shortages, outages, and significant price increases that we are facing from our vendors and manufacturers given the overall environment and conditions of the industry.
Our goal is to continue to fight the battle against the DEA on this emergency ban, as they circumvented Congress and did not present facts and benefits of the herb and its alkaloids. We encourage you to get involved by contacting your Congressman/Congresswoman, and/or the DEA (Melvin at 202-353-1417) to let them know your story and show your support.
